Football Trading Genie Review – A Game-Changer for Football Traders?
This is a full Football Trading Genie review written by UFT member Graham. His thoughts and experiences are his own.

I was excited to get the football trading genie when I saw it advertised and after using it for a while I can share my honest experience on it.
Firstly, some background on me, I’ve been trading football for the better part of a decade.
And the whole time I have done the whole familiar process with research. The odds watching, team news scanning, model building, and then waiting for the markets to misprice something I could take advantage of. It’s been part of my life since Betfair’s early days.
And I’ll be honest,I’ve actually always enjoyed the grind. Sitting down on a Saturday morning with three tabs open, digging through various stats sites, logging key patterns in my spreadsheet. It made the wins feel earned.
Nothing more satisfying than finding a trade you picked yourself with your own research and seeing it land right?
But over time, life caught up.
Work got busier. Family needed more of my time. The hours I used to spend researching matches started feeling like a burden instead of a ritual.
I found ways to streamline my research process but it was still quite time consuming
Anyway, I got one of the early invites to Football Trading Genie™ and it, of course, looked amazing.
Not quite a tipster, but a tool that would do all my research for me and show me the results on a plate?
Like having my very own football trading assistant?
To be clear, I wasn’t actively looking for a shortcut. I didn’t think I needed help. But after seeing a couple of traders I respect mention it, I thought, what the hell. Lets give it a go.

First Impressions
My first impressions were largely positive.
The whole thing runs in the browser, no downloads, no setups. These days once you have to install something on to my actual computer I am often wary. But with this, you just log in, get greeted by the genie, pick your match, pick your request and boom: a full analysis and trading plan pops up in about 10 seconds.

I should say that when I first got the genie this actually took around 45 second to a minute sometimes but it is much faster these days somehow.
Now, when I say “full analysis,” I don’t mean a generic summary of the league table and last five matches. I mean actual trade-relevant insights. So you get info on style matchups, expected goals patterns, value gaps in the pricing, and most importantly, clear directives on how to trade it.
To put it simply, you do not need to do any interpretation. The Genie just tells you what you need to know.
And then gives you an outlined strategy to follow.

Correct Score. Over/Under. Match Odds. Lay-to-back, back-to-lay, insurance plays, it’s all in there. And all of it framed in a way that shows you the “why” behind the move.
To be honest, I was a bit taken aback. Quite a wide range of strategies and approaches are in there.
The Big Win? Time.
I used to spend about 15 minutes per match digging into the stats. That adds up fast when you’re looking to trade 8–10 games on a Saturday. Half your day’s gone before the first whistle.
Now, with the Genie, I can get through the same FULL DAYS prep in about 15–20 minutes total.
I know what I am looking for with regards to going for goals, so I press the button and see if it suggests a goal positive strategy and if so I shortlist, otherwise I try the next match I was considering.
And it’s not just faster, it’s less mentally taxing. You don’t finish your research session feeling like you’ve just been interrogated by an Excel spreadsheet.
I usually load up a coffee, fire up the Genie, and knock out my shortlist while the kids are watching cartoons. It’s freed up a lot more than just time, it’s brought some enjoyment back into the whole thing.
Is It Always Right?
No.
Let me be clear: this isn’t magic. It’s AI. And like any AI, it gets things wrong sometimes. (We just don’t notice it!)
And this is where I think people should be careful with a tool like this. I already use AI in other areas of my life and it might sound confident but its not always accurate and a human eye or judgement is often needed.
For example…
Once or twice, it had the teams flipped, clearly just a misread of home vs away. Another time, it pulled in a price from the wrong market and suggested a strategy that didn’t make sense at those odds.
I got the below screenshot once which looks like analysis missing the key stats, so I just use my common sense and ignore following that match (loads more to choose from!)

But here’s the thing, if you’ve got experience, you’ll spot these slips in 2 seconds. They’re rare. And to be fair to the team behind it, the rest of the analysis is often still bang on. So you just ignore the mistakes, and move on.
The beauty is in the speed and structure, not perfection.
I reported some of the issues and, also to be fair, I see these issues less and less compared to in the beginning. They claim it is “only 1%” of matches that will have an error and that seems about right. Most days won’t have any issues but I usually fine 1-2 dodgy matches on a Saturday.
So just be careful with over-relying on it which leads me on to how you should use it.
How I Use Football Trading Genie
I use it as a tool not as some tipster to follow blindly and if you use it as a tool you will get the most out of it.
I will look at the analysis then use my “football trading brain” to decide if I want to follow.
For example, a match in Argentina and Genie thinks it will be high scoring? Maybe it will but I don’t feel comfortable following that so I move on.
Barcelona at home and Genie suggests I scalp the unders? Not for me.
Genie wants me to lay a strong favourite and says there is value? Maybe there is value, but doesn’t fit my comfort zone. Skip!
Genie suggests I get involved on the Over 3.5 Goals market but I prefer the 2.5 and 1.5, I will just adjust and stick to my preferred market.
So I think if you approach it like you just want to follow every bit of genie advice, crossing your fingers and hoping then it won’t work out, you still need to use your own decision making to say yes or no to the trade.
Here’s what changed for me since using the Genie:
- I’m hitting a higher win rate on average, simply because I’m not rushing my decisions anymore.
- I’ve rediscovered some enthusiasm for midweek cards, which I used to skip due to lack of prep time.
- I’ve completely stopped using most stats sites. I just cross-check the Genie’s calls if something looks off.
I haven’t shared my earnings with anyone, and I won’t start here, but I will say this: the ROI on the subscription price has paid for itself several times over already (I got the lifetime sub, easy decision).
Favourite Use Case
Saturday mornings. I scan 10–12 matches across the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, and some wildcard leagues like Brazil or Sweden. I’ll filter them down using Genie prompts, then pin my 5–6 best setups to focus on. I am looking for goals, so I keep pressing till I get the golden goals or similar strategies and then that filters it down for me.
After that, I still like to check the prices I am getting involved at (another reason not to follow the genie blindly) but then I am good to go.
During Champions League midweeks, it’s gold. Especially when we hit Thursday and the Europe and the conference leagues are happening, it just overwhelming.
And recently, I’ve been using it on mobile while travelling, surprisingly slick.
What I Didn’t Like About Football Trading Genie?
Of course, its not a perfect and I am not going to say that everyone should get this or similar.
Firstly, we need a way to filter for the strategies you want rather than going match to match. I am told that is coming, so crossing my fingers as that might get my research process for the whole day down to just 5 minutes.
The UI isn’t perfect. It’s not clunky, but it’s not as polished as a mainstream SaaS product. I use a lot of them in my “day job” and this could be better but then again, most won’t notice this.
The Genie Fumbles can get frustrating and lower your confidence a bit. As said, it happens rarely but when you see mismatched teams or a weird price suggestion you just have to hold back.
The strategy style isn’t going to be for everyone. Quite a lot of strategies with not very big ROI being suggested like some lay the draw at uncomfortable odds. However, you can just skip those if they don’t fit your style.
But honestly? These aren’t real problems if you’re already a trader. They’re just the signs that it’s a live product built by traders and you have to assume most of this will be improved in years to come.
WARNING: The Genie is not yet IN-PLAY.
The research is all based on the pre-match data and as we know lots can happen in the live markets.
I am told this is another thing for the future.
But its another thing that experienced traders should consider, you will still need to use the live xG data and your own decision making in the markets.
For example, if Genie suggests a goal positive strategy but by half time I can see the xG is dead, then I exit. The Genie has given me good data based on the pre-match but it is now my responsibility as a trader to follow the live data and make a decision.
Genie has solved a lot of problems but still can’t prevent the dreaded 0-0 draw!
Who Should Use It
This is definitely not for everyone.
If you already have your research processes and you actually have the time and enjoy doing your research then you probably won’t need this. If you already have stuff that works it might even hold you back a bit.
But if, like me, your a trader who is tired of all the research then this might be just what you are looking for.
I would also say that if you you are new to trading then this could be a huge help. You get the strategies broken down step by step and you can follow along. I think this could easily “train” new traders up from scratch, I think I would have loved something like this years back.
If you’ve ever said “I love trading, but I just don’t have the time for the research or find it hard to pick out the trades,” then this is probably going to become your new favourite tool.
Final Verdict
Football Trading Genie doesn’t make decisions for you. It’s a tool. Just like any other stats software you will have used before it is down to how you use that tool that will determine your results.
Think of it as like a typical stats website but faster, easier, and with less mental drag. It’s not perfect. But it’s not far off.
And I am excited to see what upgrades and features it will have in the future.
