Golf Trading Professional John Trafford returns once again to share his tips. You can back, lay or just straight bet these if you like!Mayakoba Classic
This tournament has attracted a fairly decent field in the context of it’s position in the calender alongside the WGC Match Play. There are two players who only missed out qualifying for the WGC event by several places with decent course form and current form. Spencer Levin and Johnson Wagner were in the play-off a year ago, with the latter taking the title. Wagner won the Sony Open earlier this season and made the payout places the following week. Levin wasted a six shot leader in his final round 3 weeks ago but has responded well to that disappointment. He has made his last six cuts and would be probably taking a break if he didn’t feel he had a good opportunity this week.
Selections
2 points back Spencer Levin at 15.5.
5 points lay Spencer Levin at 4.0.
2 points back Johnson Wagner at 16.0.
5 points lay Johnson Wagner at 4.25.
WGC Match Play
This is the sometimes lottery that is match play golf over 18 holes. Upsets are common with the the better ranked player often being eliminated by a supposedly inferior player. The event has a record of players over 100/1 making the semi-finals and actually winning the whole thing. Nicolas Colsaerts has the skills profile to do well on the host course and can make some progress at a big price. Winning the event may be beyond him but a good run is anticipated. Luke Donald will have his backers but Sergio Garcia is preferred at a bigger price. El Nino is back to his best after a sabbatical and he relishes the head-to-head format.
Selections
1 point back Sergio Garcia at 21.0.
4 points lay Sergio Garcia at 4.0.
1 point back Nicolas Colsaerts Top 4 at 22.0.
4 points lay Nicolas Colsaerts Top 4 at 4.0.
