Dubai Desert Classic

The Dubai Desert Classic has attracted three of the top four players in the world rankings but Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer can be ignored in favour of better priced players. The Emirates Golf Club course rewards accuracy but experience of the playing conditions is as important.

Anders Hansen has the right combination of current and course form to figure. He has made the cut for the last three years at the Emirates course and was just a shot behind the winner last year. Francesco Molinari scores well for driving accuracy and hitting the greens in the correct number of shots and Nicolas Colsaerts and Joost Luiten have shown enough over the last two years to suggest they can make the payout places.

Trade recommendations

1 point back Anders Hansen at 32.0.

4 points lay Anders Hansen at 6.0 (if matched)

1 point back Francesco Molinari at 50.0

3 points lay Francesco Molinari at 9.0 (if matched).

1 point back Nicolas Colsaerts Top 5 at 8.0.

1 point back Joost Luiten Top 5 at 17.5.

Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

This tournament is a pro-am event comprising 180 professionals and 60 amateurs. Three courses in the Pebble Beach area of California are used on the first three days in rotation while the Pebble Beach Links stages the final round on Sunday. Overall accuracy is more important than distance but putting as always will be a key factor.

Jim Furyk has the temperament to handle the special conditions of the pro-am format. His game is more about accuracy than strength and the 2003 US Open champion can grind out the pars even if he has to cope with distractions of the weather and his amateur partner. Bryce Molder has a decent combination of course form and current form while DJ Trahan can build on last week’s effort at the Phoenix Open to make the top 5 payout places.

Trade recommendations

1 point back Jim Furyk at 75.0

5 points lay Jim Furyk at 8.0 (if matched).

1 point Bryce Molder at 34.0.

3 points lay Bryce Molder at 6.0 (if matched).

1 point back DJ Trahan Top 5 at 15.0.
