Well I just couldn’t resist laying Manchester United when they went 2-0 up against Liverpool. I watched their previous 2 games where they threw away leads late on against Everton and Fulham and was gutted I never profited when they hit 1.01 both times before not winning. Even though I didn’t expect it to happen again, the price of 1.04 was neither here nor there so I laid them for a quick £100.
Heaven only knows what happened because as soon as I confirmed my lay bet, Johnny Evans had a moment of madness and took down Fernando Torres in the box. Gerrard scored the penalty. (Maybe Evans wanted me to make some money?)
Manchester United price rose to 1.25.
I was then debating about what to do as all of a sudden Liverpool were in the ascendancy and I wasn’t sure whether to let it ride or not. However, luckily I didn’t have to think for too long as Gerrard tucked away a free kick to make it 2-2.
As soon as that went in I greened up across the board as either team could have scored at that moment.
Manchester United did win the game in the end as you all know and the better team won eventually but it was a great match from a trading perspective. Nice profit for an original risk for £4.
